We designed the JetPhant sedimentation system for abrasive waterjet cutting machines to remove the sediment (sludge) that accumulates during cutting. The sedimentation system ensures the continuous operation of the waterjet cutting machine and can be used simultaneously with the cutting process—there is no need for periodic shutdowns, disassembly and reassembly, shoveling, or cleaning. The JetPhant is a product manufactured in-house by P-MAX Kft. and is offered as a complete unit; depending on the machine’s dimensions, multiple suction heads can be installed upon request. The equipment can be viewed in operation and ordered from P-MAX Kft.
The pneumatic pump draws the accumulated sludge through a sludge suction head located in the water-jet cutting machine’s tank and conveys it to the settling tank. The sediment is collected in a BIG-BAG bag secured in the tank, while the filtered water flows back into the water-cutting machine’s tank via the overflow. The full BIG-BAG can be removed with a forklift, or the entire unit can be transported to the storage area as a single unit.
